All over Europe there are quite a few FKK-resorts, resorts and hotels intended for naturist/nudist recreation. In addition to accommodation capacities of various categories, the campuses have their own restaurants, bars, shops, sports fields, swimming pools, wellness centers, parking lots and, above all, sufficiently large FKK beaches, whether sandy, pebble or rocky. The following list of locations does not include dozens of other sites, especially naturist or mixed campsites, which can be found in almost all European countries.
In Turkey, a country where the religion of naturism is not exactly favorable, it is possible to travel on luxury yachts along the coast, or also visit the nearby island of Rhodes. In Greece, the Vritomartis hotel is available on the south coast of the island of Crete, which has its own pebble beach. In 2010, the Panorama hotel on the island of Zakynthos will be newly opened for naturists. Croatia was a naturist paradise until the Balkan wars in the early 1990s. Practically all along the coast, but also on some islands, there was a long line of FKK-hotels and resorts. Unfortunately, after the war, most of the objects either closed down or gradually changed to "textile" objects. And that left several sites in Istria - Kažela near Medulin, Valalta near Rovinj, Koversada near Vrsar, Ulika near Poreč and Solaris near Lanterna. In all these areas, the beaches are pebbly or rocky, in some places there is coarse sand. In Dalmatia, there are basically no outright naturist objects, only Silva and Vjeko yachts are available to naturists in some summer dates, to which a special article is devoted. Surprisingly, even in Montenegro, in a country with a strong position of a religion that does not want naturism, it is still possible to experience a naturist vacation in only one area - the Ada Bojana resort near Ulcinj, practically right on the Alb border. This resort is located on an island in the delta of the Bojana River and lies on a long sandy beach. in a country with a significant position of a religion that does not want naturism, it is still possible to experience a naturist holiday in only one area - the Ada Bojana resort near Ulcinj, practically right on the border with Albania. In southern Italy, in Calabria, near the city of Crotone is the Pizzo Greco resort and near Ravenna is the Camp Classe - Lido di Dante. Both campuses mostly offer accommodation in mobile homes and cabins and sandy beaches. The land promised to naturists is France - Corsica, the Mediterranean, the Atlantic, there are naturist resorts everywhere. Corsica is described in a separate article, so we will pay attention to the areas on the mainland. The largest number of naturist capacities can be found in Lví záto, the area between the Rhone delta and the Spanish border. Cap d'Agde is a huge conglomerate of villas, apartment houses and bungalows for tens of thousands of nudists. A little further to the south, there are resorts designed especially for the recreation of families with children - Oasis, Aphrodite and La Grande Cosse. At the Atlantic, in the southern part of the French coast, there are three large naturist resorts located in the coastal forests - Arnaoutchot, La Jenny and Euronat. The beaches in France are sandy, the size of the Atlantic brings certain safety measures on the part of lifeguards, there are strong currents and, of course, significant surf and tides. Other naturist areas can be found even further south, in Spain - in the direction of the French border, they are El Templo del Sol, El Portus, Poblado Naturista, Hotel Vera Playa, Almanat and Costa Natura. Each of these FKK-resorts has its own specifics, is intended for different clients, but all are united by sandy beaches. Some resorts are more luxurious with air-conditioned hotel facilities, others equipped with mobile homes or bungalows. Some are downright "bathing", others also serve as an excellent starting point for traveling, especially to the architectural pearls of Andalusia (Costa Natura). This year saw the opening of a new FKK center, the Finco sa Canova complex in Mallorca.
However, there are also naturist resorts far from the sea beaches, mostly they are resorts located in the mountains. This is the Lührmann naturist hotel in Ramsau, Austria, or hotel and cabins in the Rutar Lido complex near Klagenfurt. You can find two other "mountain" resorts in French Provence - Castillon de Provence and Club Orignan. On the Ardeche river, in central France near the city of Avignon, you have the opportunity to use the services of the FKK-resort La Sabliere. Of course, all these centers have swimming pools, saunas, wellness, sports fields and can be used as a starting point for many trips to the surrounding nature (this but already in a dressed state). The only thermal spa that also thinks of naturists is the Slovenian spa Bánovci, near Ljutomer. In this spa, in addition to the "textile" hotel-swimming pool complex, it is possible to camp in the naturist part of the adjacent campsite and especially - to use the pool with various attractions and facilities, which is entirely reserved for naturists.
It is possible to travel to the resorts in Croatia both by your own car and by bus. Having your own car allows you to bring a certain amount of food, especially drinks, with you, and in a number of local resorts it is possible to arrive and leave by car on days other than Saturday. In this way, it is possible to "avoid" traffic jams on the roads and choose the number of days of stay. When using the bus, it is necessary to adapt to their timetable and thus accept their seven-day cycle with the starting day "Saturday". To more distant destinations, especially in Greece and Spain, air traffic prevails, mainly from airports in the Czech Republic, or also from nearby airports in Germany or Austria. The predominant mode of transport to other European countries is transport by own personal car. The catering offer is also very diverse - from all inclusive at the Vera Playa hotel to self-catering in apartments or mobile homes. Of course, this does not mean standing by the stove and cooking for the entire duration of your vacation, there are plenty of quality restaurants all around. It always depends on the equipment of individual naturist centers and customs in the given destination. Details of all these naturist hotels and resorts and their range of services can be found at www.naturtravel.cz.
Of course, as I already mentioned - there are many other naturist facilities almost all over Europe, especially campsites or club facilities. You can find them near the Hungarian Balaton, on the Croatian islands of Krk, Cres in Kvarner and on the well-known islands of Pag and Hvar, in many places in France, not only on the coast, but also deep inland, e.g. on the already mentioned karst river Ardeche. In many camps and especially club facilities, membership in the international naturist organization INF-FNI is required, or possession of the so-called Holiday-card INF.
The offer of naturist recreation in Europe is very wide - it is possible to combine a stay in the mountains with a stay by the sea, to adapt the choice of holiday destination to the needs of children, to travel in the off-season, i.e. when the climate is more favorable, for example for the elderly. Organized naturist recreation basically does not know the term "trip from-to, ...", in many cases the client can choose the date and scope of individual services and create a combination of them according to his interests.
